Winner of 7 'Mo' awards and an 'Ace' award for Best Female Vocal Performer Of The Year,
Jane was only 11 years old when she leapt to national stardom as one of the original members of the popular
long-running television show Young Talent Time. Her long list of television credits includes four years as
a weekly regular on the ABC's The Saturday Show and The Rolf Harris Show. Through the years her numerous
regular appearances on national variety shows like the Don Lane, Bert Newton, Mike Walsh,
Ray Martin, The Midday Show, Good Morning Australia, In Melbourne Tonight, Carols By
Candlelight, and three years as a regular on the HG and Roy Show, have established her as one of the most
successful and popular female performers in Australian today.
Constantly in demand for performances in live venues right around Australia and in the corporate arenas,
Jane has in the past toured with Ronnie Corbett, Rolf Harris, Neil Sedaka, and has delighted
audiences in Kuala Lumpar, Penang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Greece and
Japan.
An accomplished singer/dancer/actress, she was first introduced to musical theatre at the age of 17 when
she was selected to play the lead role opposite Noel Ferrier in the Melbourne Theatre Company's production of
Cinderella. Later she appeared as Gretchen in The Student Prince. In 1995 she teamed up with her husband
Paul Martell to produce a new musical comedy theatre show called Fractured Fairytales, which was well received
in Sydney and nominated for a 'Mo' award. In 1996, she was one of 3 Australians selected to star in the Gordon
Frost Organization's production of the hit broadway musical, Smokey Joe's Café, and in 1998, she received
rave reviews as Sandy in Grease, the Arena Spectacular, performing to well over half a million
people in Australia and New Zealand. In 2000/2001 she played the role of Lily St Regis in the hit musical
Annie in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Then in October, 2001 she was invited to resume the role of Sandy in
Grease, the Mega Musical touring with the show for only a short period of time as a special guest
performer.
Her other highlights include performing the National Anthem to 97,000 people at the World Cup soccer qualifier
between Australia and Iran at the MCG in 1997; the 1998 Coca-Cola AFL Grand Final ceremony and the
official openings of both Stadium Australia in 1999 and the Melbourne Colonial Stadium in 2000.
Later she returned to Stadium Australia for the Bledislow Cup as well as performing the anthem again at the
Sydney Cricket Ground on January 2nd, 2002.
Throughout 2006-7, Jane made numerous appearances at the Crown Casino and the Burswood Casino, as part
of their Showstoppers production shows. And in 2007, Jane teamed up with legendary pop idol, Marty Rhone,
in a new show called Denim and Lace.
Jane now continues her impressive live performances right around Australia as a solo artist, as well as her stunning
production show with husband Paul Martell and the Fiona Gage dancers.
